Elders taking Azithromycin (Zithromax)? A hidden heart risk we must discuss.

Greetings everyone. My elderly father recently developed a bad cough, and like many times before, the community doctor prescribed him Azithromycin. We all know this medicine; it’s a powerful tool against infection. But while looking into it, I came across some information about Zithromax side effects that has caused my family great concern, and it's not the usual stomach discomfort. There is a documented risk, especially for our respected elders or anyone with an existing heart condition, where this drug can disturb the natural rhythm and electrical balance of the heart. This is a very serious thought. We put so much trust in these common cures to fight one problem (infection) but we might be unknowingly creating a new, hidden danger for the heart. I am sharing this not to create fear, but to raise awareness for the sake of our parents and grandparents. Has anyone else’s family doctor taken the time to discuss this specific risk before prescribing, or is it something we as children must be more vigilant about?
